Your art can be as ambiguous and carefree as Yoshitaka Amano's ONLY if you know you're drawing it just once. He never had to struggle with that comic artist dread of "oh shit I need to draw this fantasy mech 50 more times? From different angles? And keep it consistent somehow???"

I'm finally reading Akira. One of the reasons was because I'd been curious about THIS panel for decades. Like wowww that's so shocking, who's this Yamagata boy.

Ep12: Genius lab rat named Algernon (lol) creates a rat-army (with swastikas and all) and takes over the research facility. Kei and Yuri go to war with guns, bombs and a cat-army with little success. They end up winning with a special flea that turns you stupid

Panzer Dragoon was such a tragic franchise. The developers had so much ambition to create a sick as hell Moebius-inspired scifi/fantasy universe; critics loved it too but the games kept flopping for unlucky market reasons.

Ep4: A missing cat that's been injected with muscle enhancers? Some gangsters and wrestler ladies are after the cat because... ???? What in the world lol I fully expected the cat to turn into a muscle beast but they missed the mark.

Classic tomb raiders had a lot of upsetting moments but this dragon boss scared me in particular...
Also worth mentioning how the environments fade to pitch black in the distance, it always felt so oppressive
