Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. only because of how BATSHIT incompetent he was on Riverdale.

I honestly don’t think the NIN soundtrack wouldn’t have saved it either. (No offense to Trent and Atticus. They do a lot of soundtracks for tv and movies that aren’t branded under the NIN name. Is Pixar’s SOUL a NIN album, because of the same people behind it?) Leto is box office poison. simple.

I would love a scathing takedown of Mr beast. (Dude reeks of Nathan barely.)

Do you think a TvGoHome relaunch can work today?
(They definitely have stuff to work with regarding today’s online content landscape.)

Dude wants it to be 2003 where he was praised out of the wazoo in Japan for ever17. (All of his games since ape that title so bad.)

ZTD is either a hilarious disaster or pure agony—mainly because it tosses VLR (which fans literally saved) in favor of its own convoluted, pretentious and edgy mess. To go from 999’s tight writing to this dumpster fire of bad storytelling and stiff, janky animation?. hurts. Worst thing he EVER did.
February 26, 2025 at 6:15 PM
Him having a fanbase post-ZTD is wild. He’s like post-Signs Shyamalan but with diehards who defend even his worst flops. His writing is so messy that fans invent meaning and call him a genius. He’s not. ZTD, WEC, and AI: Nirvana Initiative are disasters, no matter how much they cope.
February 26, 2025 at 6:15 PM
I don’t think he wants to be Kojima as much as he wants to be Christopher Nolan.

He ends up as, well, Shyamalan. (Especially when people overhype him even tho…you get it.)
February 25, 2025 at 1:04 AM
Ever17 is his Sixth Sense—a mind-blowing twist that defines his early reputation. 999 is his Unbreakable—a tightly constructed mystery with depth and emotional weight. VLR is his Signs—ambitious, layered, but divisive. Anything after… well, you know how it goes.

“Thats actually very hard to do”….

Not if your name is Kotaro Uchikoshi. Zero Time Dilemma and AI: Nirvana Initiative prove he can’t write a sequel without butchering his own worldbuilding and ruining the predecessors in the process. ZTD is so horrible, it is downright fascinating in its awfulness.

It, MGS4, and Promethus/Covenant are a prime example of “sometimes, the unexplained is just better than whatever they later come up with, especially when it just turns out to by pandering fan-service.” (Prometheus would work so much better if it wasn’t tied to Alien.)
February 19, 2025 at 5:28 AM
I swear part of the big thing in DR3 was to “purify” the 2 cast into being more morally pure so that “look, they were never bad people to begin with!” As to outright pander to THAT audience.
February 19, 2025 at 5:24 AM
Danganronpa 3 (the anime) is what happens when the franchise submits to the fanbase by pandering so hard, it ruins DR2 with the “revelation’s” about the series’s overarching plot there. (Despair arc up there with the alien prequels and MGS4 in “answers so lame, we really shouldn’t have know that”.)

I would rather prefer a movie industry full of Cloud Atlas/Southland Tales/Megalopolis style of “interestingly ambitious but absolute failure” misfires than the slop that is modern day Hollywood. At least you won’t FORGET that stuff.
January 17, 2025 at 11:21 PM
Honestly? If it meant we got more Megalopolis’s…. I’m all for it. (I didn’t hate that movie as much as most people, even tho it was very clear it reeked of being undercooked and just an absolute mess.) I respect Coppola for trying at least, even if I can’t say it WORKS.

There should be a Hollywood-style AARP-esque clause that allows HEAVILY critically acclaimed (like lynch and other iconic people) but aging directors to bypass studio executives entirely and have any project they want to pursue immediately greenlit with unlimited funding.

Culture is somehow healthier with creators understanding that if something isnt good the audience might kill them. Its better than whatever led to this in 2012.

Only a matter of time before they get bought out or (worst case scenario) liquidated. Star Wars is GONE as a cultural icon, and you might as well have creative bankruptcy of your brining back old RDJ for more capeshit. (They will get tired of your MCU, and when they do…) Just you wait.

No seriously. Stop crediting the ever 17 project you are brining over as a uchikoshi work. It’s. Not. TRUE.
December 20, 2024 at 1:53 AM
I’m pissed that your not releasing the REAL ever 17 by kotaru uchikoshi, and instead doing the 2011 remake he had nothing to do with.
