Hello new folks I'm Gio I'm a Filipino artist, I do mechanical design/illustration for books and games!
Hey irl sketchers, I wanna get a small sling bag/fanny pack thing that holds a sketchbook and some edc stuff (phone, keys, sunnies, wallet, etc). If you have any reccomendations lemme know!
Bonus points if I can slap a Velcro patch on it

This! I've gotten a lot of gigs because other freelancers (not even necessarily artists) recommended me! Been trying to pass it on too when I see/get hired for cool stuff I think would work for them.
One curious thing that helped me a lot in my freelance career is knowing a lot of other freelancers.
Being able to tell people "I'm not the most suitable person for this, but I know a guy/gal/pal who is" is a great way to present yourself as reliable and considerate, which'll take you very far

So not only is Square Enix going to try to replace 70% of its QA with AI, it's also apparently laying off at least 100 people (possibly significantly more) as it continues to consolidate its operations further and further:
