I enjoyed how bluesky encouraged me to connect with classmates I might not have interacted with otherwise. @burningpounds.bsky.social was my favorite to follow—their content was clear and consistent. Overall, I enjoyed the format of this course. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I’m reposting this because so many brands claim to be “healthy,” but their labels tell a different story. Always check the ingredients and nutrition facts; marketing can be misleading, but the label doesn’t lie. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
Before you pour that bowl—read the label! Some cereals pack more sugar than a dessert & even exceed daily salt limits. Food dyes, excess sugar, & sodium make these 9 the unhealthiest picks. #Nutrition #Cereal

During finals, it’s easy to stress-eat or skip meals, but I try to eat mindfully to stay on track with my health and fitness goals. Fueling my body with balanced meals helps me feel better, stay focused, and avoid the finals week crash! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

During finals, I like to meal prep easy quinoa bowls with veggies and chicken or protein pasta for a quick, filling, and keeps me going without crashing. It saves time and brainpower when things get hectic! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I’m reposting this because many brands promote health benefits, but in reality, their products may not be as healthy as they claim. It’s important to be mindful of marketing tactics and make informed choices. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
Salads can be super healthy, or sneaky junk food in disguise. Creamy dressings, fried toppings & sugary add-ons = calorie bombs. Go for dark greens, grilled protein, fresh veggies, and healthy fats. Build smart, eat fresh! #Salads #nnm www.webmd.com/diet/ss/slid...

I’ve been reflecting on how unconventional strategies can lead to success in weight loss. His approach shows that small, manageable changes matter. I did something similar by making healthier versions of foods that aren’t super healthy, which helped me in my journey. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Reposting this because many factors can trigger cravings and lead to weight gain; many of which are out of our control. Conditions like PCOS can impact hormones, metabolism, and appetite, making weight management much more complex than just “willpower.” @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

James Corden made a great point—shaming people doesn’t help, but support does. Moving forward, its important to be more mindful of the language used and biases, both personally and professionally. Compassion and understanding should always come before judgment.

I'm reposting this because, most of the time, quality proteins, fruits, and vegetables are more expensive than fast food, making it harder for the average person to eat healthy. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

One major barrier from Munt et al. (2017) I relate to is how expensive healthy food is. Fresh produce and whole grains cost way more than fast food, making it tough on a budget. Marusic (2016) talks about how eating healthy is a privilege. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I've noticed an increase in social media promoting dieting over the years, and I think many people struggle to realize that the focus should be on nourishing their bodies as best as they can, rather than forcing a strict diet that is often just a short-term solution. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
