Bad idea this…bigger isn’t better…this could impact on the emergency services in terms of geographical alignment…multi-agency working watered down and a disproportionate spread on services as the largest conurbations hoover up all the money & resources…

Some people don’t agree with the role…I’m biased as I started my police career as one…loved it as a job…this hang up about how many constables there are should be avoided…it needs a mix…a consistent, visible & informal police presence can be very beneficial
