I'm begging any artists still using Twitter claiming it's integral to their work to just leave. It's been revealed the site works off a made up "credit score" from hell and punishes you for posting like a normal human being.

And given Cisgender is treated as a slur & MAGA boosted, you can guess what's categorized as 'offensive'"

The tweet they quoted is from user SADIQ and reads:
"Tweepcred is X's reputation system
Based on your behavior, you get a tweepcred score
It determines your reach
Break the algo rules, you score goes down and your reach disappears
What are the rules of the X algo tho? Glad you asked."

SADIQ includes a photo of Twitter's algorithm code that calculates a user's reputation.

SADIQ continues:
"Post 'offensive text'? 80% reach reduction
Offensive username? 80% reach reduction
All caps tweet? That's seen as 'shouting. Major penalization.
Include links? Yup, penalized"

Unfortunate update: Link reached out to BlueSky and got email back now on reason.

His appeal is denied. He will remain permanently banned on BlueSky’s side.

"rest in piss"-gate has turned into a moderation nightmare for bluesky, which nonetheless refuses to explain its underlying rationale even as (or perhaps because) it seems to be changing in real time. after my own suspension, I spoke to dozens of people who got in trouble for using the same phrase

Crimew, another reporter with a decently sized following, also got un-suspended last night after appealing, though again, Bluesky did not immediately reinstate her post or a threaded reply in which she told Bluesky to rest in piss. But it did reinstate the threaded replies to my original post – which are unkind to a different dead person, Henry Kissinger – despite not reinstating the original post. And now, today, Bluesky suddenly reinstated Crimew's original post, but not the threaded reply, all with no explanation.

Many of the suspension and ban posts I’ve seen have absolutely no logical explanation and genuinely make no sense.

One user, Olive, reached out shortly after I got unsuspended to let me know that Bluesky had just removed her piss post and issued a warning with the same language about glorification of violence, but had not suspended her. Others quickly got in touch to report similar experiences. I began to feel like I was watching Bluesky rewrite its own internal moderation policies or attempt to triangulate a new approach in real time while, crucially, not publicly sharing the underlying rationale.
