1. Meta’s policy bans allegations of mental illness *unless* the person is LGBTQ, in which case you can falsely say the person is mentally ill:

It is a deeply irresponsible and harmful mindset. It has damaged our society very profoundly. We are all worthy of respect to our humanity and individuality, and we do all have the right to grow into our fullness of being.

Then, as you say, the vicar gives absolution of the sins, to reinforce the point. And will do so week after week, however serious the sin is.

There is no limit on the seriousness of the sin that can be subject to this cycle. At communion “ our sinful bodies may be made clean by his body and our souls washed through his most precious blood’. And next week, the same again.
