This is awesome! Although garlic can be stinky, it adds a delicious taste to any savory meal. It’s so much better that it has these benefits. I bet roasted garlic is amazing. I love putting garlic cloves mixed in with roasted potatoes. So yummy! 🧄 @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
Garlic: tiny clove, big benefits. 🧄 It contains allicin, linked to heart and immune health. Plus, it’s antimicrobial, antioxidant-rich, and delicious. Add it raw for more potency, or roasted for a mellow, sweet flavor boost. #RealWorldNutrition

During finals week, I always make sure to eat a good, healthy breakfast. This helps me fuel my body and mind for the day. I usually eat eggs mixed with cottage cheese and a side of fruit or toast! I also make sure to have good snacks throughout the day just in case! 🥚🥯🥒 @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This looks delicious! It’s important to enjoy these foods sometimes. You should never restrict yourself completely. I feel like a super strict diet could cause disordered eating or a frusturated mindset. As long as you’re not eating these foods everyday, enjoy it! 🧈🍞 @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
Grilled cheese is one of the classic comfort foods. Want to make it more balanced?

Try adding tomatoes or avocado. Or not.

It's okay if you have it with extra cheese or butter. Just don’t make it a “guilty” pleasure. Enjoy every single bite.

I like this PDF. I feel like it’s short, simple and to the point. I like how it gives helpful tips on how to provide a nutritional diet for children. I also like the short descriptions provided. It’s easy to follow and factual. ☺️ @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This is crazy! Who knew that such a small treat could have so many carbs! I feel like foods like these are so easy to eat too much of without thinking anything of it. I used to eat these as a kid and I never knew this! This is why it’s important to read nutrition facts! 🧁 @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I definitely struggle with mindless eating. That’s why I try to portion snacks when I feel like I need something extra to hold me over. I need to learn to eat more mindfully. I feel like I find myself finishing my food way faster than i should have. I will try this! 🍌🍎 @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Tom’s story is so inspiring! I feel like the best way to approach weight loss is to do it gradually like Tom had. It’s easy to become discouraged when going from one extreme to the next. His story proves we don’t need to cut out all fast food, but be mindful! 🥗 @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This is really interesting! It’s surprising how the media can twist the truth about this sort of thing. Although I do still feel like organic is better for you in some ways, it is not more nutritious for the body. It’s important to know where your food is coming from 🍓🍗 @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Did you know 17.7% of children are obese? We shouldn’t judge others on their lifestyle choices, but I do feel that it is easier to control a child’s diet compared to an adults. So, it is very important for parents to encourage healthy eating habits for their children 🍎🍌 @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

A barrier to healthful eating that I face would be lack of time to plan/shop/cook healthier. I feel that because I am a student with a very busy schedule, it’s hard to make time to cook every meal for the week. Especially since I work a job on top of school. 📝 @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Yes! I will admit that frozen food used to associate with processed food in my brain. However, this article altered my opinions. One food that i eat from the frozen food isle is frozen mango chunks. It’s like a yummy, healthy frozen treat! It’s also great in yougurt. 🥭 @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I really like this. Sometimes it’s nice to treat yourself without worrying about the added calories. Life is full of joy and it’s important to live life to the fullest. I like going out for ice cream with friends, especially in the summer time 🍦☀️ @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
"Omg that is full of calories and full of sugar! So bad for you!" Have you ever considered that it is also full of joy, and with the dystopian reality we're currently in that's equally important? There is room for both nutrients and joy. It's possible.

I love this. We don’t always just have to restrict everything we eat. It is important to fuel the body when you’re hungry. I like to eat pistachios and cucumbers for a healthy snack sometimes! 🥒 @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

An Atkins diet is one that is based on a low carb intake. I would be interested in this approach, as carbs are something I enjoy the most. Doing this could help with weight loss and allow me to focus on eating other food groups like protein and fiber.🥖🥯🥨 @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This is so true! I feel like i would be better with meal prepping in advance if I bought fruits/vegetables like this. It’s definitely more expensive than buying these foods uncut. Sometimes it’s worth it to spend the extra to
make sure you actually eat it 🍉🫑🍓 @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

If I make a turkey and cheese sandwich for a quick lunch, I can add nutrient-dense foods like lettuce, tomato, and avacado to add nutritional value. I could also swap a side of chips for something like apple slices or berries and the bread for a healthy alternative. 🥪🍓🍎 @beh353.bsky.social #beh353a

Yess! Rotisserie chicken is amazing haha! It helps me reach my protein goals and it’s so good to use when making other meals throughout the week (although it’s best warm🍗) I want to start meal prepping more often, so this will definitely give me some good ideas for that😊. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
Once again I’m giving thanks to the precooked rotisserie chicken at the grocery store. I can't even name all the times it has saved me meal prep time and has come in so handy in times of desperate last minute dinner options.
Honestly the best. 10/10. No notes.

Keeping track of what I ate wasn’t hard, however, I feel like it’s not something I’d do all the time. It can be inaccurate if you forget to log your meals. I realized that I need to have more protein in my diet when I did this experiment. 🍗🥚 @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I really like this. Shopping can be difficult and expensive, especially when you aren’t going off of a list. It’s easy to buy things that you don’t need, especially when everything looks so delicious! To help me, I make a list of healthy options to keep me on track 🍓🍊🫐 @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
Help cut grocery costs by planning meals and using a shopping list. Opt for store brands, in-season produce, and bulk purchases for pantry staples. Shopping after a meal helps you stick to your plan and avoid costly impulse buys. #RealWorldNutrition

I like your take on this. It’s unrealistic to eat cleanly ALL the time. Much of our food is processed and sometimes that can be hard to steer away from. Not many people talk about how expensive organic and healthy food can be! It’s hard to eat clean in this economy🍎🥑🍊 @beh353.bsky.social #bbeh353
I know we like to demonize “processed foods” but those foods sure are there in times of emergency, like when you’ve been displaced from your home due to wild fires, for example.

Fun fact, proteins are a type of macronutrient that our body needs a lot of! It helps to fuel/maintain the muscles in our body, keeping us full for longer. Protein can be credited to help with weight loss and is so important to our diet🍗 (I personally love carbs🥖🥯) @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I 100% agree! I have experienced times when healthcare professionals have made me feel bad about my body/weight. Every body is beautiful and I believe that these topics should be approached in a much gentler manner. When talking about this, always choose to be kind!🩷 #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social
A lot of unlearning is needed by medical professionals and society when it comes to weight and health, not just new definitions. Kindness and respect for bodies is needed too.
