The reliability seems to be weirdly inconsistent, too. The worst thing that happened to my XM3s after 5+ years of daily use was they eventually developed the ANC whine, but *both* hinges on my XM5s broke in under a year

It's wild that they don't even give you any kind of indication that the description isn't provided by the website. The utility of this feature aside, surely they're opening themselves to liability by misleading people into thinking that news sites endorse the opinions of random commenters?

I don't know whether to find the other quote posts funny or just depressing. Dunning-Kruger is alive and well on bsky dot app

I don't want to be mean, but what kind of archivist doesn't know that emoji are just Unicode, or that Unicode filenames have been a thing for 30 years? Do we need to let people know they can put spaces in filenames now?

A funny consequence of this is that a lot of games that still do lives don't even really punish you for getting a game over. Very often it's just like, oh no, you have to restart from the start of the level instead of from the checkpoint

I think permadeath has proved that it can be an interesting mechanic in its own right, but yeah, I've always found it interesting how we just never really stopped doing lives despite them obviously being an artifact of arcades

I know actual research is borderline nonexistent in this field, but one thing we really need to do is kill this idea that self-reported vibes are the same kind of "data" you get by actually measuring outcomes

Sounds like overscan might be on? Not sure why that would be on by default for a digital input, though

Yeah, I remember using it when it was new and liking it. Can't say I'm that surprised that it sucks now
