I'm well aware. I was on cyproterone up until vaginoplasty and had the follicle transplant about 18 months after I had zero regrowth with hrt... the damage had been done.
Unfortunately my epidermis didn't want to take the follicles and about 50% failed, so I had to have a second round!

That hair thing can be really important... Major dysphoria reducer for me.

I finished reading this today. It is a great summary of the social, medical, and legal history of trans folk. It discusses the need for public education to go hand-in-hand with changes to legal recognition in order to bring lasting change using examples from around the world. Highly recommend 👌

The metaphor of the phoenix is a strong one. Transition is very much the death of the old and rising of the new, and the challenges faced are well symbolised by fire.

A sandwich I made for myself over the weekend... smoked chicken, avocado, sun-dried tomatoes and bocconcini on ciabatta roll... And yes, it was tasty.

I'm so sick and tired of the complacency of people not affected by bigotry. LGB folk need to realise that the community needs to stand together and that throwing trans folk to the bigots won't appease them. You will be next. They won't be happy until the entire LGBTQIA+ community is gone...
