I’m on a 3.4 mile bus journey. Since arriving at the bus stop the ETA has shifted 21 mins later, & I’m not even half way.
Surely it would be easy for RTPI to add in a Hibs home game weighting? You’d just need to load it in once a year (plus cup games).
In fairness I should have done that myself…😬

I interchanged on to the Tram. I’m not doing too well at this. “For the next 15 minutes,” I told myself, “my life’s mission is to remember to Tap Off”; bc yesterday I only remembered 30 mins later (like, could I have run back & tapped off then??)

Well, I did remember. Unfortunately only just now 😢
I say my car is extant, but it’s been in a coma for 6 weeks now. Today’s transport stravaiging meant that I could easily visit the RSA while interchanging, & have a look at the Xmas show. I liked the work of Henry Kondracki, previously unknown to me.

This is a brilliant idea, and now I can’t even remember what I did with our trampoline, which was given to us by our neighbours when their children were in their 20s 😬. Did I roll it somewhere illicit? Did it blow away in the night unnoticed?
A7 When our kids outgrew their trampoline, I upturned it and made it into a den. I wish I'd planted a Willow Dome/Arbour, which would make a great den for all ages - anyone done this? You can see a list of willow providers here: willowscotland.wordpress.com/willow-growe... #EdinburghHour

Five weeks left in 2025, & I want to close so many of the administrative, legal, home maintenance & emotional loops I have open (& at least one creative project - a debt to someone.)
I’ll never enter 2026 with a clean slate, but something close to this would feel so liberating.

An uphill challenge.

Great story about the first time #Gaelic is heard in a feature film.

I’ll maybe try to give this a watch over the Christmas period.

I wondered if it had influenced Compton Mackenzie in Whisky Galore, but I see he’d already written Keep the Home Guard Turning (1943).

With the 25% discount*, child & I could 🔁 to London with 2 bed nights for £367.50.

I wonder how many people who are travelling in a twosome (few would want to share with a stranger, I think) are attracted by that price point, + bunkbed.

Seems really finely balanced.

Most people hear “heat pump” and think of small air-source units at home. But Germany is building one of the world’s largest heat pumps in Mannheim: a 162 MW river-source system using heat from the Rhine.

Big reminder that heat-pumps scale far beyond households — they can decarbonise whole cities.
