We all might love Hip Hop culture but that doesn't mean our politics align (and they don't always have to but...). I try to use the culture to benefit black brown and disenfranchised peoples when possible.

Hip Hop has had it's ups and down on the Billboard charts. I think the genre will be fine. What does making the top 100 or top 40 mean anyway, that a lot of casual fans and people who really don't like the genre as a whole have effectively been sold on a project or song?

A lot of white people look at their Nazi leaning friends, family and associates the same we black folks look at so-called "hoteps." They think they're a lil extreme, but they can still work with, like and love them. This is not meant to change how anyone gets down...just to remind US of this fact.

Imma say Cash Money. They have more joints that I personally dig. Juvie is dope to me. I really respect the Hell out of Mannie Fresh and love him or hate him, Wayne has been a force to be reckoned with, plus the Young Money shit.... I don't see how it's even close.

I started listening to Tyler the Creator and Odd Future when they were super edgy and wild... didn't like all the concepts on face value but always saw and enjoyed the talent. Kids grow up, perspectives change... the art changes. We all need a little grace to expand and grow.
