I don't wanna look back on this period of time and say "Well, that's just the way it was." I want if known, that I'm not for the bullshit.

Great for sales, not so great for culture. All genres go thru this shit, doesn't mean dope music isn't being made.

Obviously I want artists to reach people and make money doin' that... but the juice ain't always worth the squeeze. One of the reasons, rap started appealing more to the lowest common denominator and becoming more cookie-cutter was because that stuff is easier to sell to the masses.

Drake was huge on Billboard for years.... I'm pretty sure Gangstarr was not... knowhatImsaying? Both have their merits but I don't care about chart position... I like what I like and sometimes the hoops you have to jump thru to go pop cause you to water your shit down or even limit your creativity
