Small business owner, community leader, and mom running for Tarrant County Clerk.
After prayerful consideration, I have made the decision to run for Tarrant County Clerk in 2026, instead of seeking the office of County Judge. (Thread)

This ruling is absolutely wild and nakedly partisan.
#BREAKING: Over dissents from the three democratic appointees, #SCOTUS puts Texas's new House maps back into effect for (and, presumably, through) the 2026 midterms.

The three Democratic appointees, in an opinion by Justice Kagan, dissent.

I'll post the ruling shortly.

Pregnant women and babies are dying in jail due to medical neglect and cruelty. And Tarrant County’s dangerous jail features prominently in this national story: www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
'Why won't you help me?' Pregnant women and their babies are dying in jail
Dozens of pregnant women locked up in county jails described excruciating pain, saying their cries for help were ignored as they miscarried or gave birth into cell toilets or on filthy jail floors.

Please amuse me with your X screenshots of fake “American” accounts spreading xenophobia that have been revealed to originate from another country. It never gets old.

Big win for democracy! Trump’s gerrymandered map can’t be used in 2026 midterms. That’s why we have to keep fighting for fair elections—in Congress and in our local communities. Help me defeat our extremist County Judge in Tarrant County, who is rigging the maps and closing polling locations!

It’s official! I just filed to be on the ballot for Tarrant County Judge, the chief executive of one of the largest counties in Texas. I’m ready to show the door to extremist Tim O’Hare and his billionaire backers in 2026. We’re going to answer to the people of Tarrant County. www.LydiaforTexas.com!

“They must allow ministers to assist with their needs. They've been separated from their families and no one knows what happens.”

Get out there and VOTE!

Once again, the chair of the Tarrant County Republican Party, Bo French, is out there posting racist, violent fantasies about people losing food assistance. When is County Judge Tim O’Hare going to denounce the leader of his party? We can’t let people with this sick worldview run our county.

#NoKings in Tarrant County! What a beautiful crowd in Fort Worth today, braving the torrential rain!

Tim O’Hare has:
❌ Drained $100 million from our schools
❌Thrown civic leaders out of public meetings
❌ Gerrymandered district lines (sound familiar?)

Tarrant County deserves better. THAT’S why I’m running for County Judge. Let's send O’Hare packing → secure.actblue.com/donate/lydia...

Just a casual little reminder for all the elitist finger-pointers out there that labor unions are more popular than vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream, or Taylor Swift. So good luck with that.

The math here is simple. Republicans have passed a budget framework where very large cuts to Medicaid will have to occur. Now, they are preemptively shifting the blame for those cuts to Governors, who cannot engage in deficit spending.
All of this is for a regressive tax cut.
Austin Scott previews how House Rs plan to cut Medicaid: "The federal govt is paying 90% of the Medicaid expansion. What we've talked about is moving that 90% level of the expansion back... nobody would be kicked off Medicaid as long as governors decided they wanted to continue to fund the program"
