Hey Bluesky, I did a lot of walking this weekend, permit me to enhance your feeds with some pictures of the beautiful nature around the western corner of the Wirral Peninsula. Kicking off with sunlight through sedge, a low level snap through the glorious green on our rewilded beach, to the sunset

I'm taking the next step in rewilding lives through art, extending an invitation to 12 people to join me and Meg, also a paper florist, for three days at a beautiful secluded venue in North Norfolk to explore nature, look closely, and craft our own versions. Make paper flowers with us! Link next...

Ooh here's the third in my heath and scrub series, can't believe I didn't post this! This is calluna vulgaris, aka common heather aka Ling, for all those people who ask where my name comes from. What's in a name, indeed, I have many stories to tell. But this is my favourite 💚

A last Sunday picture for you Bluesky people, this was taken on Hilbre Island last weekend, sea spleenwort, gloriously tenacious, growing out of cottage walls. I'm hoping to get out there to spend some time studying endemic plants this summer, wish me luck 🤞

I can't quite figure out how this one works, is a post a one off, or the start of a conversation? I get tired of trying to figure out these new things, I'd rather be outside looking at plants, or at my work bench making them! Like this bramble, with a first attempt at thorns

How is everyone here on Bluesky this morning? I'm looking for somewhere I can connect with some like minded folks and I hear it's pleasant around these parts, I hope that's the case 😊 I'm a paper artist making plants, here's a picture of some cheerful gorse I made

I took an emergency art kit with me: papers, scissors, glue, wire, paint... I had many plans and ideas but in the end, the heat slowed me down to the point that all I managed was this slightly impressionistic little arrangement ... #paperflowers #holidayart #spanishtiles

Leaving Spain tomorrow - adiós hermoso país. I've visited with my family 2 years in a row, and now... I feel I have used up my flight credits for a few years. I can't be the only one who feels like this. Is it right to limit our choices while we sit back and watch others blithely continue? Thoughts?

My current view: Dunas de Artola, a thriving coastal nature reserve, a natural dune system covered with native plants. A world away from my local beach where half the community wants nature to thrive and the other half want to rip it all up!

I'm on top of the world
Lookin' down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is that around 3.5 billion years ago rudimentary prebiotic coalescence gave rise to the formation of various polymers and vesicles which developed into protocells capable of synthesising amino acids for proteins
