If all of the difference between Trump's 2024 and 2020 total were Biden->Trump voters, that would mean there were 3.19M Biden voters who didn't vote for Kamala. In a popular vote election, Kamala would've won had she not lost more than 25% of those voters to apathy. Apathy loss = persuasion loss.

Notable exception to the "more white = more Republican" correlation are the Pacific NW big cities of Portland and Seattle. As a lifelong Oregonian, I know the history of why the state has issues with race going back to its founding that explain this, but seems that PDX's density made it liberal.
