One of the D&D games I'm in themed after Granblue Fantasy is having a beach arc, needed to update Loki's (my character's) art to fit the scenery!

Two #JanuaryWorldbuilders posts today to catch up on what I missed!

I adopted a cat so I've been a bit busy helping her get settled in.

I'm going to ignore most of this prompt and focus on a particular set of gestures unique to the vulsha. The vulsha are foxfolk known for their ability to shapeshift into a near-fox form and then return to their original. However our focus is on their tails and ears!
#JanuaryWorldbuilders! Tell me more about your fictional society. What are some gestures or actions that are considered good etiquette? If you're writing about non-Earth societies, do they have any such actions/gestures that we don't use? Alternatively, do they have *rude* gestures?

On a society to society basis, how gender roles work across Luxilice can vary vastly depending on where you are, who's in charge, and the edér descendants who call the land home.
Good day, #JanuaryWorldbuilders. This week I'm asking q's about the fictional societies in our fantasy/sci-fi worlds. If you write about many societies, pick one you think has an interesting answer, or the MC's society. How are gender roles handled in this world?

While Luxilice lacks what I would call a "main character", my worldbuilding notes are written from the perspective and voice of a vulsha named Storyteller. The in-world author of the Luxilice Chronicles; she is a wanderer and explorer dead set on seeing everything there is.
#JanuaryWorldbuilders, tell me about your MC's (or another important character if you don't do MCs) role in society. Are they upper or lower class? What job/tasks do they do as part of this society? Are they even a member of a society?

I think generally the most consistent 'classes' that would exist throughout the world would be the separation between mages and non-mages.

Everyone on Luxilice has the capacity to learn magic so long as they put in the effort, much like any other skill.
Welcome to the second week of #JanuaryWorldbuilders! The theme of this one is SOCIETY. Again, relatively broad for now. We'll delve into more weeds later in the year. Today's Q: Talk about social classes. How are they handled? Do they have hierarchies? Nobles and commoners? Or is it classless?

There's a decent amount of sources for the spark that eventually became Luxilice... It began as a tabletop setting and grew far beyond that scale so it's roots are in concepts that eventually got discarded, abandoned, and replaced.
Good morning #JanuaryWorldbuilders! A very broad question that I have no doubt is difficult to answer: What was YOUR beginning of worldbuilding? What was your inspiration? Your initial spark? Another work of fiction? Boredom? A powerful imagination seeking an outlet?

Off to the mountain to train

Pear: even during winter?
Basaliah: yes, all the more so during winter
Pear: to train the mind against the harsh colds?
Basaliah: that's a good reason too.. but there's more to it. You'll see later

There is a divide between the spirit realm and the shards. They are separate realities, one being of echo and the other of matter.

Travel between the two is rather tricky. For spiritualists, the most common way of passing the veil is a unique tree known as an 'eirtwin'.

There are many things upon Luxilice that are exceedingly dangerous: managarm; beasts infused with magic, spirits; especially raging primals, and vast stretches of untamed treacherous landscapes...
Hey there, #JanuaryWorldbuilders! We're introducing our worlds this week. Tell me about some aspect of your worldbuilding which is a problem for your characters. Is their world infested with monsters? A dystopian government? Or maybe you created a bug that bites them in their sleep?

The night sky is said to be a reflection of the realm of spirits and gods and whilst most of the sky is peaceful, the lands to the south see something both wonderous and unsettling within their skies: the Maelstrom.
#JanuaryWorldbuilders, good morning! In the same vein as yesterday's question, what's something terrifying or scary in your world? Do you have any haunted places? Desolate, lonely places? Any site where something dreadful happened?

Across Luxilice there exist massive megaflora known as 'World Trees.'

Best described as living mountains, these massive plants grow very slowly around nodes where echo from the aetherial passes into Luxilice.
#JanuaryWorldbuilders For me, one of the most enjoyable things about worldbuilding is coming up with grand ideas: scenery, a building, a tree, a planet, anything you consider big, beautiful, imposing, grand, majestic... pick your synonym. Tell me about it

The Echo, the force known as magic, is alive.

Its sentience is eldritch and is the guiding force behind fate. It fights with itself, seemingly working for multiple conflicting aims at any given time. Only oracles and prophets can hope to understand a glimpse of its mind.

How did this come to be?

Greetings! I'm Lute, a general creative and writer!

My main project, and the one I spend all my free time thinking about, is an age of exploration/early industrial revolution-inspired high-fantasy setting known as Luxilice!
