If God had wanted us to play football in the clouds, he'd have put grass up there.

Football, music, films, tv, books, food, family & friends in no particular order!
Had an amazing night at the #O2 watching the @thelumineersmusic.bsky.social, even managed to hear don’t look back in anger live despite missing out on Oasis tickets. Got stuck in to Thatchers Blood orange which is essentially alcoholic Fanta, but don’t feel to shabby this morning!

you know, often as a journalist you get the accusation that "you've never kicked a ball in your life". untrue. statistically unlikely. this column is a love letter to football, the game i play badly, and ultimately all terrible things must come to an end

The irony of Americans electing a fascist because they were more concerned about getting lower grocery prices than saving democracy and then they end up losing democracy AND getting higher grocery prices 🤦🏽‍♂️
Coffee, shrimp, other foods could soar with Trump tariffs
The food hit hardest, if the tariffs take effect, is mostly not grown or harvested in the U.S.

All I keep hearing is that Manchester United are the biggest club in the world. Surely Real Madrid would be considered bigger. They’ve won half the European Cups of Liverpool. One more than Forest

There are certain players that transcend club loyalties and hold the public’s affection throughout the game. Denis Law was one. Would be good to see minute silence or applause at every game this weekend.

Sam Matterface has made a career of stating the blooming obvious and he continues today with the astonishing statement that it’s rare for non league sides to beat top flight clubs.

Interesting to see Devine Mubama start for city. How useful would he be with our current striker predicament. #WHUFC #COYI

Really solid first half with a lovely crafted goal created by Jimmy and finished by Paqueta. Our striker curse continues and it’s a shame as he was linking up well with others #WHUFC #COYI

It obviously wasn’t working out with J Lo but the lack of class with the way it was handled says everything about the hierarchy at West Ham. No longer the club of Ron Greenwood and John Lyall anymore. #WHUFC #COYI

"I tried clubbing. Never again. But live music gigs and festivals were fantastic. No longer using those events as an opportunity to drink cider as quickly as a child with a carton of juice, I was focused instead on the friends around me."

Dry January: I spent a year without alcohol
BBC London's Jess Warren gave up alcohol for a year. What happened was eye-opening, she says.

West Ham fans, what were the expectations at the start of the season. Being a pessimist, with all the new signings and change of manager, I had written the season off as one of transition and a bit of mid table obscurity. #whufc #coyi

Villa booing Grealish is a bit weird seeing as he gave them great service, helped get them promoted and then was sold for a fee which allowed to strengthen the squad to springboard them to Champions League football
