A lot of my family is in favor of the idea of stripping naturalized citizens of their citizenship. My husband is an immigrant and a naturalized citizen. They think this is fine, though, because he's not REALLY an immigrant since he's from England. And they wonder why I avoid most family events.

I was just thinking about a time in the 80s when my brother and I were teens. Mom asking what we wanted for dinner and my brother laugh-snorting "hair pie!" My nearly 60-year-old mother, thinking he's literally asking for hair, "Okay, what color?" Having to explain to my mom what her son just said.
