People making fun of Scrooge for changing after three ghost visit him have never seen The Walten Files version.

If I ever saw ghosts like that you’d bet damn well that I would become an upstanding citizen.

Reminder to NEVER feed wild animals. They can get easily attached to humans and associate them with food, leading to increased poaching.

This video explains it pretty well: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQJt...

I think what a lot of MAGA people don't know is that libertarians love the idea, not the person.
We worship the ideals of liberal movements, not the people behind it.
If Joe Biden or Kamala Harris were to denounce a liberal idea, we would disagree with them, not change our ideals *for* them.

Imagine being a Republican going to Bluesky to escape the hate filled on Twitter onlyyyy to be accused of being in an echo chamber.

Give love to sane Republicans, they need it.

No, you intentionally posted an inflammatory and divisive tweet that you knew would put people against each other, even if you were correct.
Which you aren't! There have been numerous studies on the difference between sex and gender, and *both* terms don't only have two.

That's why you were banned.

New research in @natureportfolio.bsky.social reveals that intellectual humility boosts trust in scientists & their research. When scientists come across as humble, people trust them more.

A reminder of the power of humility in effective #Science🧪 & #Scicomm.

Across five pre-registered studies, Koetke et al. find that perceptions of scientists’ intellectual humility positively affect the perceived trustworthiness of scientists and their research.

And the fact that half of the USA is voting against trade unions is mind-boggling
Without trade unions & the workers willing to back them we wouldn’t have

• a minimum wage

• maternity & paternity rights

• pension provision

• holiday & sickness entitlements

victories which have benefited every single person in this country

There's also the non-existent algorithm which doesn't push their bullshit, and the fact that they are completely outnumbered on here. A neutral app with normal people doesn't stand for their belligerence
The existence of this place drives right-wingers batty because while they wield a huge amount of actual power, it’s cultural power that they yearn for and it will always be elusive for them because they’re a bunch of belligerent dweebs.

He will change the Constitution and there will be people cheering him on
President-elect Trump has mused more than once that he might like to extend his next stay at the White House. But can he run for re-election again in 2028 and seek a third term? The simple answer: No, the Constitution does not allow it.

Here’s what the law says.
No, Trump Cannot Run for Re-election Again in 2028
The Constitution sets a two-term limit for presidents. Still, Donald J. Trump has repeatedly floated the idea that he might like to stay in the White House beyond his next term.

3 1/2 years ago I went from the darkest depths of rotting in addiction and alcoholism, to being gently loved back to life and health by complete strangers and new friends in recovery.

And it’s just occurred to me that that’s EXACTLY what BlueSky feels like. Pull up a chair. Have a biscuit. Heal.

History is very ugly, and we should be teaching about the ugly history to make sure we don't make the same mistakes
Latest book haul. In my house, we don’t call it CRT. We call it history, and we learn about the things that define us as people.
