Inktober sets completely unrealistic expectations regarding output. Making a complete inked drawing in one day EVERY day for a month is insane and a recipe for burnout. Don’t tie your worth to something that even professionals believe is unrealistic.
Didn't we agreed to stop romanticing Inktober a couple of years ago bc the guy running It was terrible and the trend glorifies art as content, or what happened

There's someone back in my home state, in a city many of my friends live, going around publicly talking about how he wants to murder queer people, and that "white men should rise up and form a militia," among other terrifying things.

All I'll say currently is I'm tired of respectability politics always being levied against minorities when it's defending monstrous people.
I'm tired of them mocking minorities when they die or suffer only to call us evil for simply not mourning evil men.

I think one of the things I want to do with my degree when I get it is help teach adults how to read.
It makes me sad when people come in where I work who can't read or struggle with reading, and it's clear they're not usually met with kindness about it.
