Before protection was introduced in 2016, the Wester Ross MPA was heavily dredged, hit by illegal dredging once again in 2019.

Today signs of recovery are slow but visible. As scallop diver Alisdair Hughson says, though damage can be long-lasting, recovery is possible 🌊🦀🌟
