Rice speaking to Thierry Henry: "I see an anger in our players this season. Like you said, I think you could see it in the derby at the weekend. You can see it in other games we've played this season. We've got the fire in our stomachs... we're so hungry to do the best we can." #AFCBelieve

If you watch it, enjoy Declan's grin when Martin Keown talks twice about "Super-mendi". First, you don't correct an Arsenal Invincible on live TV. Second, Keown has rightly given our Spanish Six the best nickname: "We've got Super-Mendi, I don't think you understand!" #AFCBelieve
If anyone wants to learn the art of effective media relations, Declan Rice has it right now. He welcomes comments, doesn't dumb-down answers: he gives good quotes ("I see an anger in our players this season") without getting carried away with the occasion. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0A7w...

Unprompted, Arteta offers praise for Hincapie: We lose big Gabi and it’s a big blow but Piero comes in and I thought he was fantastic.

Before anyone jumps on Wrighty for the Jude statement, watch the statement and observe these things. First, he knows more about this subject than most of us. Second, he is not someone who explores this particular topic often. Third, he clearly doesn’t raise it happily: his eyes had tears in them.

I think there are two very key factors at play here, but I want to stress that not playing for Arsenal is only one of the two key differences between Foden and the actual goal scorers. British media are absolutely shameless and transparent when it comes to hating both Arsenal and especially PoC.

Saka delivers for England, so why all the Foden focus?
Bukayo Saka’s latest England display raises fresh questions over why his excellence is so often underplayed while others, like Phil Foden, receive greater attention.

Good summary James! Way more balanced than I felt afterwards: but agreed, not a disaster, just a disappointment. We take two weeks of rest than go again. Meanwhile, pray for the draw at Etihad tonight. 💪🏽

That's pretty much the ideal half for Sunderland, a scrappy, stop-start physical game, and they've scored so now have something to defend.

Arsenal lacking any real craft in that first half, which is a worry because there's not much on the bench to try and change things.

A lot to improve on.

I also think we invited that pressure with the Mosquera sub. No slight on him at all, and I do get it when managers do that, but we had players like White, MLS, Nwaneri who could have given us more energy and play more of the final stages in their half.

That's a game we should have won, a much better second half from us, and two excellent goals to go ahead.

Arsenal's defence has been a real strength this season, but we were found wanting on both the Sunderland goals.

They made it very tough, but having gone ahead, we should have held on.
