Time will tell the value of this point. It was certainly hard earned after Arsenal got Arsenaled via set piece hell. Mosquera and Rice produced game saving moments. Not so easy to find match winning moments though.

Second hardest game of the run-in out the way.

The Premier League leaders were the ones made to pay from a long throw, which meant two dropped points in the title race

If you want a little distraction to help you move on here's a beautiful account of the "greatest 15 minutes" of Kim Källstrom's life, during Arsenal v Wigan in the FA Cup. I really love this.

Kim Kallstrom on 'the greatest fifteen minutes of my life'
You have to check out this thread on Reddit, in which user Zhongda transcribes a radio essay from Kim Kallstrom. Thanks Zhongda! The Swede talks about his brief time at Arsenal, how the loan move came...

Second half a bit of a non-event, but that is really nothing to complain about in the grand scheme of things.

Hopefully the injury issues aren't too serious, but otherwise a drama free afternoon, passage through the next round, and we didn't need to go hell for leather given our schedule.

With the obvious caveat about opposition level, I think that's a really positive half. We exposed their defensive line again and again, Eze with some fantastic passes, Norgaard too, and I like Saka in that midfield position.

Took the foot off the gas a bit, but interested to see how 2nd half goes

Here's an appreciation of the Rice-Zubimendi partnership. They remind me a bit of how Vieira-Petit, then Vieira-Gilberto, played with that lovely balance. If one goes, the other stays, and vice versa.

Rice-Zubimendi is turning into a brilliant midfield heartbeat.

I used to love getting mixed tapes as gifts (or giving them). So it's in that spirit.

Here, for no reason whatsoever other than it just came to me, is Fruit Bats and Lazy Eye.

My dear friend Nader alerted me to two Iranian members of the Arsenal family, Aref Jafarzadeh and Amir Housein, who were killed while seeking freedom in Iran. We remember them. ❤️

And who is himself an immigrant in Monaco. What a terrible human being.
Man who owns a football team full of players from outside the UK. Scumbag.

Not unusual for player who has been out for a long time to pick up a niggle when they start to play again, but he's had such a positive impact that this is a real blow 😑

Hopefully he's not out too long.

A poor display in general, but having taken the lead we put ourselves in a good position. Undone by a long-throw/set-piece, which Brentford made chaotic all night long.

Maybe a chance to win at the end via Martinelli, but they had the Thiago opportunity too. Draw frustrating but fair all in all

It was indeed important: and helped sow this 6 point lead we find ourselves with now. Sure, the hurts remain: but one must always believe in the silver lining. 😎🔴⚪️
Hello Sunday morning.

It was reaction time at noisy Elland Road. The walls could have closed in and Arsenal reacted strongly to push them away. This 4-0, the punches a mix of set pieces to start them off and sweet technical goals to add flourish, felt important.

Arsenal as a club have put so much into growing the women’s game for decades, so the world/intercontinental champions accolade is something they wear well.
