This makes perfect sense - big razor was sick of the infinitely sharp razor hack, so introduced multi-blade razors, which caused pyramids to stop working and fall out of fashion...

It's interesting that Dutch freeing Anna and speaking to her as an equal is roughly the midpoint. They can't macho their way out of the situation so a radical new approach is to ask a woman what she thinks.
