The new electric car charge will hit rural areas like the Highlands harder than anywhere else due to the lack of public transport options and the large distances that journeys can involve.

This must not be another city-centric policy that hits those in rural areas with the bill.

Scottish Liberal Democrats are winning the fight against the SNP in the Highlands.

The SNP's relationship with rural Scotland is broken.

The Highlands deserve better.

By backing the Scottish Liberal Democrats, you can get change with fairness at its heart.

We’re weeks away from Nicola Sturgeon’s deadline for closing the attainment gap, but the SNP are still a lifetime away from making it happen.

The SNP’s promise to a whole generation of pupils from deprived backgrounds is irrevocably broken.

While a lucky few head over the Atlantic, the appetite for watching Scotland’s games back here is going to be off the scale.

The Scottish Government should support our calls for huge fan parks across the country and late night licences for pubs for show the games.

Securing support for islands like Arran, Islay and Mull shows the committed community campaigning that you only get from the Scottish Liberal Democrats.

The job is not done however.

Our coastal businesses are every bit as impacted by disrupted ferries and they need support too.

People are crying out for real change and a solution to the cost-of-living crisis.

A customs union with the EU is the single biggest step the government could take to grow our economy, put money back into people's pockets and generate billions for our public services.

For the women who have spoken up about their experiences of travelling to Inverness to give birth, the SNP’s backtracking will be a real blow.

Holyrood has voted for an independent review of maternity services in Caithness, that is what we should now expect.

No ifs, no buts.

In 2016 Nicola Sturgeon promised to close the attainment gap within a decade.

At the current rate for numeracy in primary schools, it will take another 133 years to close the gap.

This policy will hit rural areas like the Highlands harder than anywhere else.

Both Scottish and UK Ministers should be making it easier to have an EV by rolling out more charging infrastructure across the country - not penalising drivers with this short-sighted measure.

Staff want to deliver top quality care but nurses say unsafe care is being normalised and doctors say staff morale is at an all time low.

The Health Secretary has failed to give our hard-working NHS staff the beds, safe staffing and resources they desperately need.

How many will speak up about how the World Cup has been used to make highly politicised points, and push specific agendas?

When the SNP first came to power in 2007, in a single month, only a handful of people waited over 12 hours at A&E.

It hardly ever happened.

Despite the best efforts of staff, that figure has now increased by 63,325%.

Meanwhile the Scottish Government are stuck in the mud.

Rachel Reeves should have used the budget to announce a new customs union with the EU.

Research has shown that a better trade deal like this would turbocharge our economy and with that revenue, we can stop piling endless amounts of tax on struggling households and high streets.

Isobel and Martyn Knights were travelling down the dual carriageway near Aberdeen when Isobel had a violent seizure.

Martyn had to use every ounce of his police training, to restart her heart and to get her to A&E.

But at A&E, Isobel was left waiting in a corridor for 6 hours.
