The amount of people I know who have been laid off from games industry jobs and are deciding to leave games entirely as a result is not only extremely saddening (of course), but also genuinely scary. We have lost legitimately thousands of years of knowledge and experience in the last four years.

Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

I finished SIGNALIS a few days ago and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. I've watched videos breaking down its incredibly layered and complex story, recommended it to everyone around me and already started watching my gf and brother playing it. A truly amazing game that resonated with me
