Urge your Senators to vote NO! Rather than allowing Trump administration to unleash a logging bonanza on old growth and mature trees🌲, Senators should propose an alternative bill focused on sensible wildfire mitigation strategies such as home hardening, local emergency planning, & defensible space.

I DID NOT have cheer for Harvard on my 2025 BINGO card, but here we are! Go Harvard!

Hey Congress, is plotting with a dictator to in another country to build "prisons" (death camps) to send citizens to without due process "high crimes and misdemeanors" enough for ya? Were you all huffing glue in World History class instead of paying attention?

Today I saw that tariffs are paused. I assumed stock market manipulation and logged right into my brokerage account, and yay, it's up a bit. So I sold ~5% of holdings! Then I moved that to a high interest savings account where it will make cash not lose it.

I spent the weekend with animals (my own and a friend's) and being social with humans. I read a book. I also went for a long walk and only half of it was the route I have walked nearly every single day for the past 2 years. The other half was through a neighborhood I've never been to. Productivity!

There's a house in my neighborhood that has been decked out in Q-Anon, Trump, Confederate flag, Let's Go Brandon, flags and yard signs etc., for years. I walked by there the other day. They seem to have swapped all that out for a single American flag--looks pretty new too. Huh! Wonder why? LOL.

I was slow to feed the cats this evening. The matriarch gently corrected me by toppling some potted plants, scattering some work papers, drinking some of my water and then dumping the rest on a notebook. It worked but I may have "forgotten" dessert.

Currently read: Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler, published in 1993. Epistolary dystopian novel set in L.A. 2024-2025. Just read March 5, 2025. Tornadoes, measles outbreak, rainy. Checked weather history. Yeah it was rainy in L.A. on March 5th. OK, Prophet Butler.

Hey so, can someone just pack up the Smithsonian and such and lend it to a nice safe institution outside the USA, for safekeeping? That'd be great, thanks.

New hobby: Posting on Faux News articles with tongue in cheek references to dystopian novels. They don't read. They won't know. If they start talking about creating Newspeak and how their kids are committing thought crimes, I am going to laugh, then scream, then cry, then laugh again.

All eyes needed on the Krome Detention Facility in Miami FL. People with no criminal history held in crowded rooms like sardines, denied water, food, sanitary products, healthcare, toilets. At least 4 men have died since January #ConcentrationCamps

Immigrant women describe 'hell on earth' in ICE detention
No shower for days, cameras trained on the toilet, women crammed into cells 'like sardines,' among the allegations.

When Felon 47 Executive Orders the Dept of Ed shuttered and sends in his goons, can we at least be rid of that WWE idiot? I think that the Secretary of Education must have at least 5 years of public school classroom teaching experience and a minimum of a Master's Degree in Education.

The criminal immigrant destroying the country and taking jobs from honest Americans is "likely" violating the constitution, has stolen and/or destroyed huge amounts of data, etc. But we've deported a US citizen cancer patient? Clearly that kid was the threat here! WTF.

Judge Theodore D. Chuang of the U.S. District Court in Maryland ruled that the Defendants’ unilateral decision to shut down USAID likely violated the US Constitution. Indefinitely blocked the agency’s dismantling and barred Musk’s staffers from accessing sensitive personal data maintained by USAID.

I've been hiding for 6 days recovering a shred of sanity. I fell down rabbit holes, organized things, started a research project where I'm collaborating with someone who can organize all the mess I generate! Oh and I finished a first draft of a children's book. I never planned to do that part.

Great job everyone! We've brought back measles and rubella! Just one more letter and we get that whole beautiful suite of diseases those evil libs took away with their vaccines! Come on MUMPS, you can do it, infect us! (Seriously though, bringing back vaccine-preventable illness is bad).

The resistance will bring down Musk and Trump. Congress, wake up before your power is gone. The GOP begging Trump to release money to their states is pathetic—stand up to this tyranny. Congress controls the purse strings.

Everyone (especially red states) who doesn't like that image of Felon47 in a crown, better be calling your representatives to tell them they better start impeaching a motherfucker. It's time our representatives get off their asses.
