I've just started reading Ending the Pursuit by Michael Paramo. Hooray for a-spec history NOT written by me :)

I'd also recommend The Shape of Sex by Leah DeVun. It looks at intersex history, which seems to be another under-researched topic. I found it really interesting.

I will be interested to see what other folks think about this, especially transgender folk. It does make me personally (as a vaguely non-binary but admittedly cis-ish aroace) feel a lot better, or at least a lot less ignored, than I did yesterday.

FYI: while I personally pulled out of the event based on TEP's previous position, my understanding is that no major trans/queer organisation has actually called for a full boycott. A few have withdrawn their endorsements, but each have left individuals to make their own call on whether to attend.
