Original concept sketch, done in Clip Studio Paint.

The tendril element was originally going to be a lot more overwhelming, but my professor convinced me to calm it down lol. Was the right decision in retrospect. (9)

How the pieces are meant to be displayed in the exhibition, along with that overall particular section.

My BFA advisor loved this wall lol. (9)

"Dissolve to Black, No Traces." Subtractive (sandpaper, etc.), India ink wash, watercolor, on 26”x35” watercolor paper.

The 12th piece to my show.

Lyric continues to hide himself, while his dreams develop more "substance."

"Demons." Subtractive (erasers, sandpaper, etc.), India ink wash, watercolor, on 15"x22.5" watercolor paper.

The 9th-11th pieces from my show.

In his self-isolation and self-hatred, Lyric's empathic dreams invade, taking on a "tendril" aspect.

How the three pieces are meant to be displayed together (as displayed in my show).

Didn't edit this photo, because that'd just be a hassle lol. (7)

"Eternal Luxury." Subtractive (erasers, sandpaper, etc.), India ink/wash, watercolor, on 15"x22.5" watercolor paper.

The 5th-7th projects from my show.

Lyric's contradictory struggle of wanting to be left alone, yet feeling lonely at the same time.

Sketch done in Clip Studio Paint; text arranged in Adobe Illustrator.

The only real noticeable difference is that casting shadow. I felt it looked out of place (even though that's somewhat how it is in my references), so it's barely there in the final piece.

"Manifesto: Only With You." Subtractive (erasers, sandpaper, etc.), India ink/wash, dip pen, on 26”x70” watercolor paper.

My show's fourth piece.

If you want to make sure you're seeing all of my art, please ensure your settings are set to not automatically hide mature content. I don't post sexual work or anything of that nature, but a lot of my BFA is artistic nudity telling a particular and emotional story.

Anyway. Pretty deer boy tax. :P

Digital sketch, done in Clip Studio Paint.

I abandoned that "rippling" concept, simply because I thought it completely interrupted the sense of a deepening fall.

"03) And Within Me, the Wave Rises." Subtractive (erasers, sandpaper, etc.), black India ink and wash, dip pen, on 22”x51.75” watercolor paper.

The show's third piece.

This piece is meant to highlight the pages' importance to Lyric, clinging futilely even as he's falling further into (...)

"02) A Little World, Alone." Subtractive (erasers, sandpaper, etc.), black India ink and wash, dip pen, on 16.67”x20.75” watercolor paper.

The show's second piece.

Every piece in this show has Lyric in it, even if it's not literally. This is no exception, meaning the pages are a core (...)

Original facial references, done in Clip Studio Paint.

This was a struggle lol, because it was the very first time I managed it draw out his face in any decent way.

"01) Lyric: Where It All Begins." Subtractive (erasers, sandpaper, etc.), black India ink and wash, dip pen, on 16.25"x20.75" watercolor paper.

The first piece of my BFA show, "Egregore."

I thought it best to begin the show with a portrait, given that the show is centered on Lyric himself.

The artist statement for my BFA exhibition, "Egregore."

Uploading it as an image for the sake of consistency. The statement explains the concept of the entire visual show: who the character "Lyric" is, along with the burden that slowly consumes him as the show progresses.
December 27, 2025 at 4:41 AM
Guess we'll start here, given that advertising my show was kinda part of the whole BFA ordeal. :P

Poster 1 and 2: 11"x17", in Adobe Illustrator. Spring 2025.
Sketches done in Clip Studio Paint for respective BFA projects.

See all my uploads? I can do art, just as promised. ~w~

Now I need to work on uploading the actual BFA content, which requires more actual photo editing. See how that goes. x.x

In the meantime, I guess enjoy my Blue Protocol deer boy being pretty~

"Scully." Subtractive (etching needle, sandpaper, erasers, etc.), India ink wash, acrylic ink, alcohol ink (markers), on 11.5"x11.5" watercolor paper. Fall 2023.

Sigh. :<

This piece has a lot of sentimental value, and the subject matter-- my old cat Scully-- has particular life-shaping importance.

"One Cold Day." Subtractive (sandpaper, etching needle, erasers, etc.), India ink wash, acrylic ink, on 17"x27" watercolor paper. Fall 2023.

After those two studies, I wanted to start experimenting with color being combined with my ink subtractive method. Something I'd never done before.
