Today I talked with a 76 year old who'd been standing in the cold for hours guarding her neighbors. I was getting kind of chilly, even in the new winter gear i bought for this trip (and I live in the goddam mountains myself).

Before I came, I asked a local friend if the cold (it's going to be -20 or so in the coming days) would stop people from coming out. "No, we'll be there. It's ICE who can't handle it."

something that the movie has made me think is: there was a lot of truly great art and none of it stopped the Vietnam War.
it is better, at the end of your life, to be able to say: I made art that protested the atrocities. better than not. but let's not kid ourselves. these things keep happening.

Kiwi farms people have too much time on their hands. They started back in the late 2000s when the first site they used to stage an irl harassment campaign against a developmentally disabled woman was shut down.

(I looked it up and apparently it's Se7en not 7even.
I went with another Orthodox Jew and we had a good laugh about how long and repetitive that movie would have been if it'd been about all 613 mitzvot.
Killed in the manner of "not eating a rock badger". Someone else as "not eating a hoopoe".)
