Today the ADHD struck. I put an apple turnover in the oven to heat it up a little, but I'd left my phone upstairs, which I use for timers. I go upstairs to get it, and turned off a light on the way there. (Task Complete)
3 Hours later, there's a slight burnt apple smell coming from the kitchen....

Youtube has announced that all low-res videos (i.e. older ones) are to be automatically AI upscaled to HD.
Creators can opt-out on a per video basis (but the channel may be long abandoned).
When researching props or behind the scenes, old videos are useful, but not if upscaling produces artefacts.

The implementation of AI on a streaming platform like Twitch is incredibly dangerous to the livelyhood of the Creators on the platform, due to the sheer amount of data that can be mined from their livestreams.

I was today years old when I found out that a trans woman by the name of Wendy Carlos was the writer and composer to the soundtracks of both The Shining and the original 1982 Tron motion picture, and likely many other films I grew up with! Neat!

I shouldn't have to call it what the Lemkin Institute for the Prevention of Genocide has already, repeatedly, called it. But too many people think genocide is only genocide if it's concentration camps and mass graves, instead of murdering an entire social group with a thousand cuts over decades.
Call it what it is: Genocide. Legal erasure, ministerial attacks, non-existent health care. This is not a debate. It's an attack on our existence!
