I love you Vince but your obsession with featuring specific variations of Spanish just to fumble them completely is getting weird.

We've updated the information page about our #GodotEngine free ports.

Originally, they were a bit homebrew and untested.
But it's not like that anymore. 👇

100% agree on both accounts. I've only played FCM but I think is a game that gives you a lot of opportunities to come back (and if you're stomped, is rather quick), because it is a sandbox of strategies of which none work forever.
I think the “you can lose in a single turn” thing I’ve heard people say about Splotter games is slightly overblown but I do appreciate how they design board games with no safety rails. You are given the freedom to fuck up as much as you want. It shows a lot of trust and faith in the players.

Super excited for my second time in the @unpub.bsky.social tabletop mentorship program! My first experience completely transformed the way I designed games, I'm sure this one is gonna be as impactful and then some!

Randomly thinking about Chi No Guadachi. What a powerful, haunting manga. Definitely recommend but beware of its triggers, of which it has many.

El Eternauta is everything I had always wanted for an adaptation... and more. All the changes made to the plot work flawlessly. The visuals, the tone, the atmosphere: beautiful and sinister. Okupas is a masterpiece and Stagnaro is now my personal god. Just go watch it already.

Here's how it plays: your goal is to climb. First you decide which and how many holds to attempt, then you do them. Holds have a number; to reach it you flip one card of your deck and spend support from holds previously climbed. Each success scores but one failure and you fall back to the bottom!

Here's the path making mechanic! You can connect holds when's your turn to climb and those connections stay in place for other players as well!

This keeps going through quick iterations (this picture is old by now!). Now we have two different types of holds, a tactical reshuffle as you exert yourself and the ability to trace new connections between holds - for you and others! Super happy about the positive interaction on this one.

Last night I tried Pax Ren 1.5 ed. Amazing game. Loved the trade route system, so simple yet meaty and interactive. The ebb and flow of kingdoms being reinforced and then destabilized. The overlapping types of regimen change. But man, that graphic design is ATROCIOUS. Almost killed the game for me.

Has anyone else started a design inspired by Severance? I was thinking it could be a 2p coop, one's the innie, one's the outie. Goal is to reintegrate. While one's playing the other has their eyes closed, so when's your turn you don't know what they did but you see the consequences on yourself.

I got super trashed but fuck this game is a gem

The design keeps ascending! We swap the dice for cards and included a mechanic to "advice" your competitors after they fall, by gifting them and yourself special cards! Alas, out numbers were off so there wasn't any falling (but lots of smiling 🥹)

This seems to have some legs but can we take it to the TOP?

Get a HOLD of this bouldering game prototype which I started co designing with a dear dear friend of mine (the guy who got me into games, actually). Creative pairs can be challenging but also so much fun (specially when their brainstorming is way better than yours 🥶)

Last year, some friends and I started "Cazadora", a 2D pixel art boss rush where you hunt monsters from South American folklore. You can try a free demo on the link below. We're developing on Godot and I do some narrative design as well!

Two new designs I've started recently: one is a solo game about doing household chores while you struggle with #IntrusiveThoughts. These are tiles that when drawn you either immediately obey and discard, or keep and try to clear before nighttime comes and they trigger disastrous effects!

"Deal with the devil" is the most interesting game I've tried as of late. A peculiar mix of euro style resource management and tableau building with negotiation, hidden roles and social deduction. It's the type of game I'd love to design and it's also a cautionary tale about niche experiences 🧵

I think the reason I vibe so much with PbtA is because "play to find out" is low key brat coded

The past week I tried my 400th boardgame (Little Town) and got to 410 (it was a really good week). Some of the latest highlights: Stick 'em and Fibonachos were surprisingly clever and fun, so I guess I shouldn't judge games by their cover!
