Here’s the stunning NGC 3718, the Twisted Spiral galaxy in the Big Dipper, with less than six hours of integration.

This is a very wide field image, taken with a camera lens instead of a scope. The smallest scope I have will just barely frame the V-shaped Hyades. This is the crescent moon with the Hyades (below left), the Pleiades (below right), and Jupiter (bottom of frame). #Astronomy #Astrophotography

Looking at today's Sun, there are a couple of useful spots. Will help with telescope/camera focus for tomorrow's eclipse. 🔭 🧪 #astrophotography

I've just processed some videos of the moon (25% illuminated waxing crescent) I recorded on the 14th of march.
I wanted to try out something new so instead of using a planetary webcam I recorded my camera's (DSLR) live view mode with a 5x digital zoom #astrophotography

I've tested my Eqm-35 pro with the new telescope on it and it's been guiding well (0.70" error in Dec and 2" error in Ra, way better than with the payload I used to put on it). Now I'm waiting for the next clear night (January 12th) so i can test multi-star guiding in PHD2. (1/2)

I got a new SW 130PDS for Christmas! The first thing I did when I got it was replace the dovetail base for one that could hold the finder scope more firmly. Now I'm just waiting for the weather to improve so I can take some pics of the Orion Nebula :)

I've just bought a new ssd to replace my astrophotography laptop's hdd. It's an old Asus X540 and I figured out it could run NINA right after a defrag. If things turn out well, I'll be able to use my laptop without having to wait years for it to boot up/download pics from my DSLR in an ap session

Hi everyone 👋
I'm new to Bluesky :)
For anyone who's here for pics: I'm getting a new telescope (130PDS) before this year's end along with a coma corrector and I'm looking forward to taking some photos with it. Up to now I had used a bigger scope so that should allow me to take longer exposures
