New via NYT — The CIA sent the White House an unclassified email listing all employees hired by the spy agency over the last two years to comply with an executive order to shrink the federal work force. One former agency officer called the reporting of names a “counterintelligence disaster.”

A tree with a bald eagles’ nest in Auburn was cut down over the weekend. Residents had been rallying to save it after they learned a developer planned to remove it to build a subdivision. Video on Friday showed the eagles in the nest, then on Saturday, video showed the tree down and nest destroyed.
