Related: I'm always fascinated when a Hull person says "O" and southern English people write it as "er" while I (Scottish) hear it as "oo" (and absolutely *nothing* like "er", like literally what is that about)
Always eye-opening when someone with a southern English accent tries to write a northern English accent "phonetically" revealing what an alien perspective they have of the relationship between sounds and letters

Many reasons to love s19 of #Taskmaster, but one of my favourite things was Mat looking all smiley and gangly and CBBC and then every so often coming out with sudden dark creepy humour - and otoh, Fatiha being gloriously grumpy and then occasionally such a genuine wholesomeness shining through
