This is in relation to the new patch

This isn't even just about Sayla being family, she spends a lot of the original show thinking about pacifism vs what's necessary to end the conflict, she is exactly the sort of person to talk to if you want to do real good.

But instead, Char has seemingly made her give up on him in some sense.

I know the real world reasons for why Sayla isn't really in Zeta, but her one appearance being her sadly watching a livestream of Char, not really saying or doing anything? Speaks volumes. My girl is broken, and it's Char's fault.

Her input is important! But Char has run away from it.

Even if I assume the best moral scenario for Char in Zeta, that he is genuine about all the good things and everyone else is somehow mistaken about the bad...

I do not believe he's talked to his sister, the one who chased after and believed in him the entire original show, about any of it.

Important asterisks: I am only part way through double zeta, I haven't seen Char's counterattack yet, Char is not the Gundam character I think about when I think about Gundam.

However.

Everyone I know is leaning either greens or lib dems, which is a *wild* turnaround from even just a few years ago

Ultimately I want game freak to keep making weird stuff, so this is not a "ZA WAS A MISTAKE😡" style opinion, I would even say I don't dislike the game in a 5/10 sort of way, but you know. I hope they get the game balance right next time lol

The sidequests are largely great, I liked parts of the story, the music is good.

There's one side quest that encourages you to really overlevel because it's harder than anything else which ruins the endgame, other parts of the story are boring, most of the music barely plays.

I am a big weirdo game freak stan, I loved legends arceus, I thought scarlet and violet were great (ON SWITCH 2), I am willing to defend little town hero any day.

ZA is another weirdo swing! So I respect it on principle. But also I think the game balance is bad and that tanks the whole thing.

Gnosia doesn't introduce its logic and deduction mechanics until later, so the first episode lives and dies by the VAs perform their characters, and the subtleties they can introduce in their dialogue. SQ's performance does that! It rules.

I almost wish the game did this more, perhaps for something longer than a single battle, but as is it's always a fun surprise

The pod inspired me to play the investigations collection (partially for fun, partially to finally play with the new translation for the second game)

I am looking forward to the pod playing the second game, which is *checks notes for spoiler free things to say* a different game to the first!

That's true. I was just thinking you could include the content warning for the whole game in the demo, which would bypass the refund situation.
