A hempcrete house needs a breathable exterior to protect it from the elements. We used a lime render which absorbs 50% of it's CO2 emissions (to make) as it cures.

lowersioux.com is an amazing Native American community in southern Minnesota. I was really impressed by their hempcrete factory which uses industrial hemp to make homes. They showed me the whole process. Minnesota Innovation. Very Cool.

Several homes being completed in Mid Suffolk. Using timber frames and hand placed hempcrete. Some older buildings insulated/retrofit with sprayed hempcrete. I’d have one. Stable temperatures and highly efficient. Could create some excellent social housing if govt sorted finances.
