Kirby came out too late for it to be nominated. Not saying it's a bad game, it most likely would've gotten Best Racing and would've completed with Bananza for Best Family if it came out earlier.
But looking at it, Air Riders doesn't need TGA. Sakurai put everything he got into this one.
