“the right way to be” the flaw with kageyama isn’t in his feelings and in wanting to have some autonomy in how he sets the ball, it’s in the way he communicates it
there were moments when he would revert to his old self and then moments of silence. i think he was unconsciously trying to control himself but was also very frustrated and confused about the right way to be. him being backhandedly complimented for the very thing he worked hard for (+)

i tweeted this on twt but i’m so glad there was acknowledgement on kindaichi’s side of his guilt about abandoning kageyama. i’m also so glad to have discovered that they reconciled and played together again post-high school

reading the ball boy arc now and my heart hurts for hinata enduring all that frustration and humiliation. i get he’ll come out stronger and grown as a person but man. that first day when coach washijo said he sees no value in hinata… hinata’s sure a tough cookie, that’d be enough to make me cry
