I don’t understand parents who get upset about child-free events like weddings etc. Why insist on bringing your kids to a gathering where most guests will be drinking, often among people you don’t know well? That doesn’t seem like an appropriate environment for children to me.

All my past situationships watch my stories like it’s their full-time job. I only remember they exist when their little icon pops up—a gift from ADHD. I don’t just move on; I completely forget they ever happened.

I’ve meticulously curated my internet experience (and, honestly, my entire life) to avoid creepy men as much as humanly possible. So when one suddenly appears—completely uninvited, like a jump scare in a bad horror movie—it’s somehow even more jarring.

What is the goal of this statement? To encourage people to not engage with books at all? To only read them because that’s the only thing that “counts”?
I read all of my books and don’t care about how others consume theirs. 🤷🏾♀️
