That reply doesn't seem to make sense so based on your account activity I'm going to assume you're a bot replying with LLM content and mute you.

I got this useful bon mot from a middle school teacher recently.

In response to, “I DONT UNDERSTAND,” he calmly said, “okay what steps have you taken to understand?”

And that’s when I realized that a lot of folks have no steps.

UrFascism according to Umberto Eco: The enemy is always pathetically weak and terrifyingly strong at the same time.

Random morning thought: I wish there was more public awareness of that generation of 'national conservatives' who rose to power in the 1920s/earlier 1930s and normalised the overton shift which would make the fascists seem part of normality. It didn't leap straight from Christian Democrat to Nazi.

What's ironic is this BBC leadership was installed to please the right-wing party, and is now being expelled because it isn't enough for the far-right party. Appeasement doesn't work.

"The city encourages cycling by clearing the paths every day during the winter, using a fleet of heavy-duty snow ploughs. One of the most impactful changes is also one of the simplest: clear the roads of snow only when the cycle paths are done."

"I built an even bigger pyramid out of concrete, why I am I not remembered like Cheops?”

Well the fact it was really hard for humans back then to build is precisely why we think the pyramids of Giza are unusually neat. It's not inherent to their size and shape.

The people who are upset that their LLM extruded content isn't respected as art are upset that their attempt to shortcut this element of human value isn't respected. But it can never be respected in the same way because it is not the same thing.
