I find it incredible that European leaders continue to cave to Trump and ignore the illegality of his actions. What will it take for them to realise that Trump is not their friend? Meloni of course falls in line. Cowardly position from Starmer. German PM goes with ‘it’s complicated.’

Half the time this administration is insanely stupid and dumb. The other half they are insanely stupid, dumb, and with an agenda that they will execute without restraint.
As much as this government is all impulse/no plan in some areas, they are hyper-consistent in their quest to re-segregate all elite spaces and fully restore / re-impose white male dominance across all spheres of life. The defining project of Trumpism as a political project.
"...about a dozen senior career diplomats who, before the start of the Trump administration, had gotten assignments to be deputy chiefs of mission overseas were told they would no longer have those jobs. Most of them were women or people of color."

I am once again asking why Stephen Miller is a principal on foreign policy issues. He was at the meeting with Ukraine and Israel. His official title is Homeland Security Advisor, but appears to have a hand in any policy domain he wants.
the photographer was definitely like, "ok everybody, look tough!" but we know they're all just reading tweets with their arms crossed in a country club dining room divided up by bedsheets tacked to the beams

A side story is there’s a ton of insider trading on these prediction markets. New accounts making hundreds of thousands on their first and only trade, that maduro would be ousted. Seems like insider trading is legal if not encouraged on these platforms

The Washington Post is captured media.

The fascist President just illegally invaded a country. His VP and media lackeys justified him taking any action, anywhere, if his DOJ approves it. And WaPo PRAISES him.

Billionaire owned media will always cave to fascism. Bezos knows his class. Do you?

Trump: "We're going to have our very large United States oil companies go in, spend billions of dollars, fix the badly broken infrastructure and start making money for the country. And we are ready to stage a second and much larger attack if we need to do so."

Fucking hell.

Think the referance to US Law Enforcement here is quite telling as well: a huge extension of how far the US feels its laws reach.

Apparently its fine to now attack and kidnap a head of state because of 'US law'. Fucking hell.
Trump says Maduro is in US custody.

Denmark lost more troops per capita in the post 9/11 war on Afghanistan. Saying they “are not a good ally” because they won’t surrender their territories to the US is lunacy. We are betraying our allies to satisfy the whims of a would-be Emperor for whom the US is not enough.
They’re again advocating against Denmark when it comes to Greenland

There is something deeply cynical about Vance’s willingness to weaponize the Ukrainian struggle for breaf political gain

He is invoking hatred that will outlive his career. It is a short-term political play that will leave a long-term stain on how a generation of Americans views the Ukrainian people

It’s exactly this kind of dismal, prejudiced bollox from the Daily Mail that’s got us into the ruinous Brexit mess we’re in. What a moronic response to us rejoining Erasmus and all the benefits that brings. If they’re really worried about cost, they should push to cancel Brexit altogether.
