Usually, re-dedication ceremonies are held in broad daylight, with pomp and circumstance and a heads up to the press to cover said event with smiling politicos and speechless honorees….not marked with a “hey! look what we did when no one was looking!” tweet after business hours.

A reminder to a nation with way too many people untethered to facts and truth: There’s no such thing as “The Department of War.” It doesn’t exist. Only Congress has the power to create and name executive departments & agencies. So it’s still The Department of Defense.
