Better yet, I'm told Rand Paul put forth an amendment to take this language out of the bill, and almost 30 democratic senators voted to keep this language in the bill.

Democrats support republican policies. They hate you.

Just discovered Walter de la Mare's work. What a talent. I can see where Robert Aickman got his tricks. Seaton's Aunt deserves every bit of praise it gets.

One of the great unsung / underseen horror movies is Paperhouse (1988). It's very close to a masterpiece. A young girl, ill with a fever, finds that whatever she draws is manifested into the empty fields of her dreams, exactly as she drew it. Unfortunately, this is not all it's cracked up to be...

I rewatched Stuart Gordon's Dagon last night & continue to think that it's one of the mid-tier Lovecraft adaptations. Most of the changes he made to Shadow Over Innsmouth story did not benefit his film, with the exception of the inclusion of Uxía.We should have gotten a creepy bus ride to Innsmouth!

I love the original Legend of Zelda. No towns, little dialogue, few npcs... a focus on gameplay and scenario over narrative. It's the absolute perfect game.

I love Electric Underground and appreciate its critique centered on game density and the use of gaming environments to offer unique challenges. Having said that, I never beat the earlier Shinobi and Ninja Gaiden games and its nice to not be stuck on the first level with these new entries.

As someone who is not particularly skilled at ninja platforming games, I much prefer the new Shinobi to Ninja Gaiden. Both games have impeccable aesthetics but in Shinobi there are so many more ways to defeat enemies and the controls are much more intuitive, particularly the special moves.
