Apologies if these are a bit out of order. Kazos told me she felt blindsided bc she did not know Kaplan was even interested in running the story until it was published and folks messaged her congratulating her on having HER reporting printed in @propublica.org.

I’m particularly concerned because a woman independent journalist who has been covering this for months is not receiving credit, is struggling to pay her bills, and @propublica.org will make huge amounts of $$ off this story and the authors will get more work, while Kazos sits in obscurity.

Kansas City, MO airport (MCI) has the best gender neutral restrooms. Amazing amount of individual stalls and large handwashing area. So impressed what KC did at the new airport. No big deal for this boomer.
