We haven’t look at the effects of disease related mutation of JPH3 on the capability to organize the Ca2+ regulatory machinery or Ca2+ signal propagation but it’s something we are definitely interested to pursue in the future.

Hi Jeff, thanks a lot! Despite JPH3 KD the ER is still organized in a ladder-like structure and can still form contacts with the plasma membrane. We think JPH4 and other ER-PM contact site protein can structurally compensate for the lack of JPH3.
