Star Wars #Andor is by far my favorite television show of the year and I absolutely give severance a 10/10. This show makes me cry and feel emotions I have never felt in a show.
A beautiful show, absolutely no notes

“Right of Way: Race, Class, And the Silent Epidemic of Pedestrian Deaths in America” by Angie Schmidt is a great book to truly feel the human impact, with the numbers to support it; of the failure of American road design on pedestrians. Highly recommended to read

Reading “City Limits: Infrastructure, Inequality, and the Future of America’s Highways” by @megankimble.bsky.social, and it so perfectly encapsulates my feelings about highways, car centric planning, and the struggles individuals and communities have with any highway. Definitely recommend to read

Although we still need some operators in a control room for safety reasons, automated rail transit has a much lower manpower cost than other forms of transit and transportation!! On holidays this means more people can be home with their families and still be able to transport more people!!!

My biggest pet peeve about public transit policy is when its only purpose is seen as commuting to work.

A good transit system is there to support all kinds of trips at all times of the day, not only office commutes. Groceries, football games, coffee shop trips, concerts, etc.

Why widening highways doesn’t reduce traffic congestion » Yale Climate Connections
It has to do with a phenomenon called induced demand.

Whilst I acknowledge road traffic victims day, the only way we should be honoring them is building infrastructure that would stop any more road rates. This includes bollards, public transportation, and safer streets. Not just a day, but a movement to change the environment that killed them.

Writing up random thoughts for my ideal Cascadia HSR while in the train yesterday. I should start carrying a notebook around for the bullet points of these ideas instead of having to open a word doc

Hanging out with an urban planner friend and I think other than fire codes and like structural codes I’m down to get rid of my building development restrictions. Let me (I don’t have the money) build a 10 story building with a nightclub, a couple of stories of offices, and some housing on top.
