Peas make me sneeze.
0/10 do not recommend tearing your achilles tendon. Injury was 10/30 and I'm a week post surgery. I'm not good at not doing. Contemplating new hobbies that can be done with my calf lifted above my heart. It could do so much worse and I'm very over the discomfort, fatigue, and movement restrictions.

It was heartening to see the huge nonviolent crowd yesterday in Eugene. This is what democracy looks like, indeed.

Estimates are about 4,000 people who showed up to say #nokings

There were smaller protests all over the area, too, including at my mom's-in-law's retirement home. Beautiful.

Y'all, this is horrifying and dangerous. Trans people are real and deserve safety.

I have the privilege to not live there, and to choose to never go there.

Weeping for my trans siblings around the world as this kind of hatred is becoming normative once again.
Texas legislature bans transgender people from public bathrooms
The state's bathroom bill would block trans people from using the bathroom that aligns with their gender at schools or government buildings.

I'm considering the impact of the budget just signed on the clients of the rural Oregon mental health agency I work for and my family and friends. The deep cuts required in EBT and Medicaid will be so harmful. I suspect we'll see even more rural areas losing health care services. Heartbreaking.

The revision to birthright citizenship is not about the children of privileged immigrants; they'd still get citizenship. It is about othering and dehumanizing people fleeing danger and poverty and seeking safety and a better life.

This revision is racist and classist and violates our constitution.

Gonna be a little vulnerable here for a minute about something that may seem very picky, but I really need people to think harder about.

I hate when people learn about how much I deal with because of my cornucopia of diseases and disabilities and disorders and they tell me I am strong.

I’m not.

Folks, please be aware this.

Gender affirming care is done with careful thought on the part of physicians and parents. Gender affirming care includes the use of medical interventions that are currently used for children to treat a variety of health issues.

Gender informed care saves lives.
This is really bad.

A bill just passed the House of Reps that would not only make sweeping cuts to medicaid recipients and leave millions uninsured but also BAN gender affirming care for ALL AGES ON A FEDERAL LEVEL. This is so evil. Use this script and call/message your reps. Don't let them get a moment of peace.

You have three days, starting today, to leave a public comment with the FDA about, say, why COVID-19 boosters should remain available to everyone and also free. "Individual consumer" is the category you most likely want (unless you are one of the other categories; if so, choose that).

Percival Everett's book _James_ deserves this recognition. I recommend.

Fun fact: My mom-in-law knew Percival when he was a young man.

Excited to lead a training at work on the dynamics of chronic pain and physical disability in relational therapy.

I'm disabled and in a 35 year partnership. I am thankful to draw upon the experiences of so many other disabled folks in creating a training that isn't ableist or idealizing.🧑‍🦽

Did you know that the current administration is asking for reports of DEI in schools? It is dangerous.

I'm curious if folks will overload it with reports of celebrations of Christmas in schools and concerns about the divisiveness of a white settler centric history curriculum.

RFK has zero understanding of autism and of what makes a life meaningful. Autistic people have a wide range of skills & ways in which they benefit from support in this society based on abled people's needs. Needing support is not shameful. Human value is not tied to productivity and reproduction.
