He fucking fired the Librarian of Congress.
Today while helping a library patron print documents he needed for an upcoming meeting, his insulin pump started to beep and he began to bottom out. This Librarian grabbed some chocolate and helped him stabilize. Tell me again how awesome Google is. #library 💙📚

The TBLC receives LSTA grant funds from IMLS through the state of FL to provide regional & statewide programs. Because of the executive order and federal freezing of funds, it is uncertain when or if they will receive funds. This affects everyone.

Just found out within a few minutes that Florida has discontinued its partnership with the Collaborative Summer Reading Program AND our county is no longer participating in One Book/One Community. This state REALLY hates books and literacy. And as a youth services librarian, it is devastating. 📚 💙
